Table Mountain

The cable car's long ascent.

Table Mountain as seen from the Waterfront downtown.

View of Cape Town from Table Mountain. This part of Cape Town which is the center of the city and cradled in the curving hills of Table Mountain is known as the "city bowl."

The Twelve Apostles Mountains, so-called even though there are seventeen peaks in the mountain range.

Theo, Este, and their 16-month-old daughter, Stella. We met walking around on the top of the mountain and became fast friends. I learned all about Afrikaans culture, and we all delighted in the high-altitude antics of Stella.
